Project background

The land export record covers two different ISUZU vehicles travelling through the Erenhot road border to Ulaanbaatar. One is a double-cab tow truck; the record does not describe two identical tow trucks.

The tow truck has a 5,200 mm wheelbase, with a 5,400 × 2,300 mm platform and a 4-ton winch. Its double cab provides crew space. The cab, recovery body and carried vehicle all need to be accounted for in the completed mass and axle distribution.

Arrival, local registration and commissioning are not included in the available record.

Configuration considerations for a similar order

The points below can help you plan a new order. They do not describe how the original buyer made their decision.

Crew and platform space

The double cab and recovery body use part of the chassis capacity before a vehicle is loaded. Confirm the required seats and usable deck space, including restraint positions, then calculate the remaining payload. Gross mass is not cargo capacity.

Route geometry

The 5,200 mm wheelbase affects turning and breakover geometry. For a similar order, state overall-length limits and loading access, then check the finished vehicle’s approach and departure angles.

Climate and service

A winter package needs its own specification. State minimum temperatures and starting requirements, then specify suitable fluids and hydraulic components with local parts support. The recorded air conditioning, ABS and differential lock alone do not establish winter capability.

When this configuration fits the task

Recovery work requiring crew accommodation alongside a defined platform envelope.

When the specification needs to change

Tight urban access may favour a shorter wheelbase; heavier vehicles may need a different chassis and recovery system.

Questions answered

What export stage is recorded for Mongolia?
Export and shipment in April 2025; destination arrival is not recorded.
What does the 5,400 mm value describe?
It is the recorded platform length; the platform width is 2,300 mm. The chassis wheelbase is a different value, 5,200 mm. Neither dimension is a statement of carrying capacity or winch pull.
Can the same configuration be ordered again?
Component availability and the equipment package need a fresh review. A new quotation and signed specification determine the scope; this record is not a standing offer or destination approval.
